HSR is constantly improving the "weak links" of the Yamaha FJ1100/1200 engine to provide the most dependable combinations. The FJ/XJ engine is very durable, however when it is used to power an 1100+ lb race car/driver the extra loads, excessive heat, and sustained high RPM can cause engine failure.
